Processing of client data
In order to provide safe care and services, Soite’s staff needs up-to-date and necessary patient and client data. Clients themselves can influence, through consents and prohibitions, how and where they allow their information to be used.

Patient and client records created and stored in Soite may only be disclosed with the client’s consent or in cases specifically provided by law.
Patient and client data is confidential, and the processing of it is monitored regularly. Under the Act on the Electronic Processing of Client Data in Healthcare and Social Welfare (784/2021), the right of access must be based on the duties of the social welfare or health care professional, or other person processing client and patient data, and on the service being provided. The processing of client information must be based on a client or care relationship verified through technical means, or on another right based on law.
Soite has joined the national Kanta Services when it comes to both patient data from health care and client information from social welfare. In the MyKanta service, Soite’s clients can manage the processing of their health data and prescriptions by giving their consent to data sharing or by setting denials of consent to data sharing. The Social welfare information will be available in MyKanta in the future.
