The Central Ostrobothnian central hospital has a separate paediatric emergency clinic for the treatment of children under the age of 16. Soite's paediatric emergency clinic is responsible for almost all emergency services within social and health care for children and youths.

Soite’s paediatric emergency clinic is open 24/7 i.e. all hours of the day every day of the year.
Treatment at the paediatric emergency clinic does not require a referral from a doctor. A child’s need of urgent care is assessed by phone or at the clinic.
Care at the paediatric emergency clinic is free of charge for a child.
We offer children multiprofessional care
The personnel at Soite’s paediatric emergency clinic is knowledgeable in social and health care matters when it comes to children and youths. Children are examined and treated by a multiprofessional team: in addition to paediatric nurses and doctors, the team includes experts in social work and general practitioners, depending on the child’s situation.
Soite’s paediatric emergency clinic also cooperates with other health care services for children and youths (e.g. child health clinics), which makes it possible for high level competence to move between different levels of care.

Treatment at the paediatric emergency clinic does not require a refferal. Please always contact the paediatric emergency clinic by phone before coming to the clinic. A child’s need of urgent care is assessed by phone or at the clinic.
