The maternity, child health, family counselling and birth control clinics in Soite’s area use digital contact and two-way communication, where Soite’s employee and a client can communicate digitally with each other via DigiSoite’s My Healthcare service. Digital contact is used at all maternity and child health clinics and birth control clinics in Soite.

Via DigiSoite’s My Healthcare service, a client can send a message to Soite’s maternity, child health and birth control clinic when it suits them best. A public health nurse at a clinic responds to the message or calls the client as soon as possible during office hours.

Please note that an account for a temporary childcare leave cannot be given via the digital services. Instead you should contact the centralized phone service of the clinics or, in the case of a school-age child, you should call their school nurse.

The online service Suomi.fi is used for identification in the digital services and login is done by using online banking codes or a mobile certificate. Messages transmitted via the online service are data securely protected and cannot be read, copied or modified by a third party.

The child health clinics in Soite’s area use digital appointment booking. An appointment can be booked digitally for periodic examinations for children aged 2-6 years.

We hope both parents take part in the examinations at a child health clinic.

Examinations of 1.5- and 4-year-old children are extensive health examinations that include, in addition to an examination by a public health nurse, an examination by a doctor. An appointment to a doctor is booked for you by the public health nurse when you visit the child health clinic.

We invite parents especially to the extensive health examinations when the child is 4 months old, 1.5 years old and 4 years old. The purpose of an extensive health examination is to strengthen the factors that promote the health and well-being of the family in cooperation with the parents.

The Let’s Talk about Children method is implemented in conjunction with the visit to a child health clinic when the child is 1,5-2 years old. The purpose of the method is to help parents and other adults who are important to the child to support the child at different stages of development and in different life situations. The aim with the method is to support children’s favourable development and to prevent possible problems by tailoring the child’s everyday life, so that it supports them.

Before an extensive examination for a 4-year-old, we ask parents to fill out and bring with them the Voimaperheet form and to ask the day care to fill out the form “Tiedonsiirto päivähoidosta neuvolaan”/”informationsöverföring till rådgivningen”. Both parents also complete the AUDIT questionnaire on alcohol risks (www.addictionlink.fi, available in English) and, if necessary, the nicotine addiction test and drug use test (available in Finnish and in Swedish).

All appointments that have been booked to a child health clinic can be viewed digitally in DigiSoite’s MyHealthcare service, and you can change and cancel periodic examinations that you have booked 24 hours before the appointment.
